I am delighted to be able to announce that the County has agreed to provide each youth section within the County with Gold level membership for at least the next 3 years.

I know a large number of sections already make use of OSM to manage their section and have seen the great benefits it provides in terms of managing membership records, programme planning, badge records and so much more, saving leaders vast amounts of admin time whilst improving the experience for our Young People and volunteers.

We are really pleased to announce that applications for the 2019 NSGSO and NSGCB course are now open. We are taking applications for both the Orchestra and the Concert Band. The course and concerts are based in Stourbridge, West Midlands and runs from Sunday 28 July – Sunday 4 August 2019.
The closing date for applications is midnight on Saturday 15 December.
Last year 142 young people attended – a record year again. The course is hosted by Birmingham Scout County in conjunction with Girlguiding Birmingham.

Andrew Bond, from 1st Camborne Scout Group, has been awarded the highest award in Scouting. After many years of dedication, commitment and hard work Andrew has achieved the Queen’s Scout Award, the ultimate training Award for Scout’s Youth Members.
He joins a minority of Scouts that reach this level of achievement each year having recently received his award from County Commissioner Kevin Allen and Assistant County Commissioner (Explorers) Jonathan Cooksley, at a presentation held at 1st Camborne Scout Group.
