I am delighted to be able to announce that the County has agreed to provide each youth section within the County with Gold level membership for at least the next 3 years.

I know a large number of sections already make use of OSM to manage their section and have seen the great benefits it provides in terms of managing membership records, programme planning, badge records and so much more, saving leaders vast amounts of admin time whilst improving the experience for our Young People and volunteers.

We are really pleased to announce that applications for the 2019 NSGSO and NSGCB course are now open. We are taking applications for both the Orchestra and the Concert Band. The course and concerts are based in Stourbridge, West Midlands and runs from Sunday 28 July – Sunday 4 August 2019.
The closing date for applications is midnight on Saturday 15 December.
Last year 142 young people attended – a record year again. The course is hosted by Birmingham Scout County in conjunction with Girlguiding Birmingham.

We have been notified of a fault with RIBER throw bag rescue lines. The Marine Accident Investigation Branch have conducted an investigation and issued a safety notice outlining the details. Read the full safety bulletin here.If you have any throw bags within your equipment please read the safety notice in detail and follow the instructions regarding the faulty product.

27 Cornish Explorer Scouts and 3 leaders will be joining a patrol of 9 Explorers and 1 leader from Jersey for the adventure of a lifetime at the 24th World Scout Jamboree in the USA.

To all Cornwall Beaver Colonies
2016 marks the 30th birthday of the Beaver Scout section and I am inviting your Colony to register and take part in CHALLENGE 30.
The cost to enter this challenge is 50p per person, Beavers & Leaders. This cost will be used to order CHALLENGE 30 woggles.
The challenge will be to complete 30 out of a list of 50 activities, all of which should be achievable as part of your regular programme or District & County events.
