Madagascar 2013: The ultimate adventure for people aged 16 to 25 in Scouting. A large and ambitious expedition with the aim of providing young people in Scouting major international experiences, building strong international relationships through close cooperation and delivering credible benefit to local partners through defined project work.

The expedition is open to all young people aged 16-25 from the Southwest region, led and supported by Gloucestershire Scouts, it will offer huge challenges and even greater rewards to all members, leaders and participants alike, by developing strong international friendships, building cross-cultural understanding and exploring in a unique and diverse country.

Madagascar is a country that is unique in the world. It is a beautiful, fragile, diverse and heart capturing island home to incredible, warm, friendly and welcoming people. Exploring tropical rainforests,
relaxing on paradise beaches, hiking in unique landscapes or sharing a cup of Ranonapango with the Malagasy, Madagascar is a county of huge variety.
