DATE: 28 Apr 2018
TIME: 00:00 - 23:59
WHERE: Lanhydrock House, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL30 5AD

On behalf of Mid Cornwall District, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to take part in Mid
Cornwall’s Beaver challenges. Please make sure you read all the paperwork
carefully, and remember to book early as numbers are limited for both the events; last year we
reached capacity!

Early bookings also carry a large discount (for prices see booking forms).

The Coast 2 Coast route this year will begin at Port Isaac in the car park.

The Beaver Challenge will take place at Lanhydrock with registration opening at 11am and the
route will open at 11:30am on Saturday 28th April. The challenge this year take the form of a
guided walk with written instructions, there will be things to find and activities on route. The route
will be on the national trusts grounds but will include some road walking so hi viz vests should be
warn. Beaver activities will close at 4:00pm. We suggest collection of Beavers between 3:30 and
4:30pm. Please note there will be no access to Lanhydrock or parking until 10:00am. The Scout
shop and tuck shop will be open as normal (In the Marquee) should the weather be wet the
Beavers will be able to eat their packed lunch in the shelter along the route where tuck will also be
on Sale. Tea coffee and Squash will be available free of charge the Marque. We suggest the
beavers walk in wellington boots as the route is likely to muddy and includes a bear foot trail so
each team will need a towel.
